Are you a SE Portland neighbor, part of an organization that serves SE, or part of a SE Portland business association? Are you interested in strengthening community connections with 20 neighborhoods of SE Portland? Consider applying for our board of directors.
What is SE Uplift?
SE Uplift’s mission is to collaborate with the SE Portland community to build informed, inclusive, and participatory neighborhoods that support our social and ecological well-being. SE Uplift is one of seven district coalition offices that coordinate neighborhood and community efforts with city government.
Open Board Positions
The SE Uplift Board has openings for up to five directors representing community organizations, five “at-large” directors representing SE Portland, and two directors from area business associations. These director positions join delegates from the twenty neighborhoods in the SE Uplift coalition area to create our Board of Directors. Interpretation, translation, or other accommodations are available for board members with advance notification.
What is the commitment?
Applicants are expected to commit to a 1 year term of service, attend monthly board meetings (usually the first Monday of the month, 7:00pm-9:00pm) and uphold the values, mission, and vision of SE Uplift.
