Communications Grant

APPLICATION CLOSED

Each year, SE Uplift provides our neighborhood associations with a small amount of funding that can be used for communication and outreach efforts. Our priority for communication funding in 2021 is to make funds available to our diverse SE Portland community, and to ensure funds support strategies and best practices for effective and accessible outreach and communications.

As of the fiscal year 2021, communications funds will be available on January 1st, 2021, to all community organizations serving the Southeast Portland community! The grants will be open for application as of January 1st. You can apply for up to $1,000 in funding to improve your communications capacity. The Application can be found below.

All proposals will be reviewed using our Equity Lens which is based upon our commitment to correct harmful historical practices and policies as acknowledged in our DEIA Statement

Preference will be given to projects:

  • That create space and opportunity for everyone in our community to participate by following the principles contained within the DEIA Code of Ethics.
  • That have strong community support and involvement as demonstrated by volunteer hours and donated or discounted services.
  • Submitted by, or in direct partnership with, organizations predominately led by and/or involving people from historically underrepresented or underserved communities including Black, Indigenous and communities of color, immigrants and refugees, low-income people, renters, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ people.
  • Incorporate COVID-19 relief into the project to support programming, relief or logistical efforts that address needs in communities that are most vulnerable to the impacts of COVID-19.
